More than 10 mn doses of Covid-19 vaccine administered in Bengaluru

As the supply issue of Covid vaccine is being sorted out, authorities push to inoculate have yielded good results in Karnataka. In Bengaluru, more than one crore doses and in the state 45 million doses have been administered till date.

Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) Chief Commissioner Gaurav Gupta on Sunday said the BBMP has administered a total of 11,493,814 Covid vaccines doses in Bengaluru till date.

IMD predicts heavy rainfall in THESE states for next three days due to revival of Southwest monsoon

The Indian Meteorological Department(IMD) on Sunday (September 5) predicted that several parts over south, west and north India would receive heavy rainfall during the next three days. According to IMD, the heavy rainfall would occur as a result of the revival of the Southwest Monsoon.

The IMD predicted that during the three-day period, heavy to very heavy rains is expected to take place over Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala.

India administered 58.85 lakh COVID vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, taking the inoculation coverage to 67.72 (67,72,11,205) crore until 7 am on Saturday, according to the provisional report released by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

According to the figures available, as many as 1,03,60,248 healthcare workers have been inoculated with 1st dose of COVID vaccine while 84.49 lakh (84,49,196) people have been inoculated with both the doses, states the report.
