Reportedly, Maharashtra has begun its preparation for the third wave of COVID-19 for a caseload of 1.2 million which may happen during the peak time of the spread. This is based on the suggestions made by the Central government.

The air quality index (AQI) was at 341 on Thursday morning and dropped to 382 by the evening, according to the System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting And Research (SAFAR), the government’s pollution monitoring system.

Over 114 crore COVID-19 vaccine doses have been provided to states and union territories so far through Centre's free of cost channel and through direct state procurement category, the Union health ministry said on Wednesday.
