Windmill power generation firm Kirloskar Industries on Saturday reported 79 per cent jump in consolidated net profit from continuing operations at Rs 134.72 crore for September quarter 2021-22 on the back of higher revenue.

The company had posted a net profit from continuing operations at Rs 75.13 crore for the same period last fiscal year, Kirloskar Industries said in a regulatory filing.

Ten gram of 24-carat gold was on Saturday selling at Rs 48,050, same as yesterday’s trading price. Silver was at Rs 64,600 per kg, down Rs 400 from yesterday’s trading price, according to the Good Returns website.

The finance ministry has invited applications to appoint the next chairman of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) to succeed Ajay Tyagi, whose five-year term comes to an end in February.

The company said in a BSE filing late on Friday that the anchor investor (AIs) portion in the public issue of 26,218,079 equity shares has been subscribed at Rs 980 apiece.
