Media giant Walt Disney revised its latest subscriber guidance for its streaming service Disney+ Hotstar after losing the streaming rights of the Indian Premier League (IPL) to Reliance-backed Viacom18.

The firm revised its subscriber count to 80 million by the end of fiscal 2024 from the projected 100 million.

Aamir Khan-starrer Laal Singh Chaddha will release in India on Friday. With the movie, Khan has returned to the big screen after four years. Khan's last movie, Thugs of Hindostan, was released in 2018.

Hindalco Industries Ltd.’s quarterly profit jumped by almost half from a year earlier, underpinned by strong US sales and higher revenue that cushioned the impact of pricier raw materials.
