Two and three-wheeler major TVS Motor Company has signed a memorandum of understanding with The Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office to offer Chevening TVS Motor Company Scholarships to candidates who show great potential to become decision-makers, the company said on Thursday.

The Chevening Programme, is a scholarship programme that aims to attract select students around the world who demonstrate greatest potential to become leaders, decision-makers in their own country.

Reliance Industries Ltd's retail unit launched its first in-house premium fashion and lifestyle store on Thursday, as the billionaire Mukesh Ambani-led company continues to grab a bigger slice of India's luxury market.

The new store chain called Azorte, the first of which was launched in Bengaluru, will compete with the likes of Mango and Industria de Diseno Textil SA (Inditex)-owned Zara, and cater to millenials and Gen Z.

Shares of Torrent Pharmaceuticals dipped 6 per cent to Rs 1,449 on the BSE in Wednesday's intra-day trade after the drug company, on Tuesday, signed a definitive agreement to acquire cosmetic dermatology player Curatio Healthcare for Rs 2,000 crore. The consideration includes Rs 115 crore of cash and cash equivalents in the acquired business, indicating an Enterprise Value of Rs 1,885 crore.

Curatio has operations in India, Nepal, Srilanka, and Philippines. The deal catapults Torrent from the 21st spot in the domestic dermatology market to the tenth spot.

Tech giant Oracle has been fined $23 million for violating the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) by the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The firm created slush funds to bribe foreign officials in United Arab Emirates, Turkey, and India.

Referring to the company's India operations, the SEC said Oracle India's employees used "an excessive discount scheme" in connection with a transaction with a transportation company owned by the ministry of railways.

Several law firms in India have been seeing a sharp jump in companies approaching them to redraft employment agreements, find loopholes, and enforce restrictions to address the issue of moonlighting. Some companies are even asking law firms to enable the practice with proper checks and balances, a report in Economic Times (ET) said.

Moonlighting is a practice of having a secret job in addition to one's regular employment. India Inc has been greatly divided on the issue.
