The stock rallies of Gautam Adani’s companies, which expanded his fortune at a pace that outran all other billionaires globally, is set for a reversal, according to a technical indicator that predicted previous slumps for more than a decade.
TD Sequential, a widely followed DeMark technical indicator that forecast drops in Adani Enterprises Ltd. three times since 2009, suggests that last week’s near 6% slump in the shares of the company may extend, with the stock continuing to pare its more than 100% gains for the year. It also hints at losses in the offing for the shares of Adani Total Gas Ltd. and Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.

With the procurement of 3,500 electric vehicles (EVs) on the cards, the central government is aiming to replace petrol and diesel-powered cars from its fleet with EVs. This could expand more as the automakers launch new models of such vehicles, a report by Economic Times (ET) said.
The ET report quoted Convergence Energy Services (CESL) as saying that the program will expand as and when more affordable EVs enter the market. CESL is the government agency that handles the acquisition of EVs for the centre and the state governments.

India's factory growth dipped to a three-month low in September due to a moderation in demand and output, despite easing inflationary pressures and strong business confidence, a private survey showed.
The Manufacturing Purchasing Managers' Index, compiled by S&P Global, fell to 55.1 in September from 56.2 in August, below the 55.8 predicted by economists in a Reuters poll. The pace of growth was still solid, however, and was above the 50-mark separating growth from contraction for a 15th straight month.

Zydus Lifesciences on Monday said it has received the USFDA's final nod to market its generic version of Mirabegron extended-release tablets used to treat overactive bladder, with 180 days of shared generic drug exclusivity.
The final approval granted by the US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) to the company's US arm Zydus Pharmaceuticals Inc is for the tablets of strengths 25 mg and 50 mg, it said in a regulatory filing.

To prevent the use of counterfeit and substandard medicines, the government may soon launch a "track and trace" mechanism. Under this, the customers will be allowed to use QR codes to know if the pills they are popping are authentic or not.
The report added that under the first phase of the exercise, QR codes will be printed on the primary packaging labels. Primary packaging labels are the first-level packaging like the bottle, can, jar, tube or strip.

IT services provider EPAM Systems has sacked around 100 Indian employees, mostly bench people who were not tagged to any specific project, and has revoked offer letters to others who were about to join the NYSE-listed firm over the next few months, reported The Economic Times on Monday.
At least 100 employees, across testing, .Net, DevOps, and Java domains in both firms — EPAM Systems and EPAM Anywhere — have been asked to resign, sources told ET.

Jet fuel (ATF) price on Saturday was slashed by 4.5 per cent and that of commercial LPG used in hotels and restaurants by Rs 25.5 per 19-kg cylinder.
The price of a 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder was cut to Rs 1,859.50 in the national capital from Rs 1,885, according to a price notification from state-owned fuel retailers.
