The Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) is set to induct 35 young legal professionals to assist it in managing litigation and quick resolution of disputes, a report in The Economic Times said.

These professionals, who will work as researchers, will be initially hired for 11 months. Following an assessment of their performance, their services may be extended.

India Resurgence Fund (IndiaRF), an India-focused investment platform backed by Piramal Enterprises Limited and Bain Capital, has invested Rs 550 crores in food and beverage (F&B) company Impresario Entertainment and Hospitality Private Limited. With this, IndiaRF has become the majority shareholder of Impresario.

Funds will be used by the company to fuel the further expansion of Impresario’s business.

After completion of the foot march in southern states, Congress' Bharat Jodo Yatra led by party leader Rahul Gandhi will enter Maharashtra on Monday.

Vodafone Idea may have to raise tariffs or finalise its fundraising quickly to avoid a cash shortfall to the tune of Rs 6,400 crore by September 2023, according to a report by The Economic Times.

New Omicron subvariants BQ.1 and BQ.1.1 accounted for over 35 per cent of Covid-19 cases in the US this week, according to the latest estimates from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

BQ.1.1 made up nearly 19 per cent of circulating variants and BQ.1 was estimated to make up 16.5 per cent of circulating cases this week, Xinhua news agency reported, citing a report released by the CDC on Friday.
