Amazon faces $280 mn lawsuit from Vietnamese supplier for post-Covid cuts

Amazon.com Inc. faces a $280 million lawsuit from a Vietnamese manufacturer of warehouse storage systems that alleges the e-commerce giant abruptly scaled back orders after online spending growth cooled this year, leaving the manufacturer saddled with excess production capacity and raw materials.

Gilimex Inc. said it was a key partner of Amazon from 2014 to 2022, investing tens of millions of dollars in manufacturing facilities to build the steel-and-cloth storage pods used to organize inventory in Amazon warehouses.

A First Information Report (FIR) was registered on Monday afternoon at Pawai police station in Panna district against the Congress leader and former state minister for making remarks against the prime minister. Pateria has been booked under sections 451, 504, 505 (1)(b), 505 (1)(C), 506, 153-B (1)(C) of the IPC.
