Air India on Thursday unveiled a new brand identity and aircraft livery as the airline moves ahead with its transformation plan since being taken over by Tata Group more than one-and-a-half years ago.

The new look re-imagines the iconic Indian window shape, historically used by Air India, into a gold window frame that becomes central to the new brand design system. It symbolises a 'Window of Possibilities', according to a release.

Ahead of the Rajasthan assembly election, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot announced plans to raise the other backward classes (OBC) quota to 27 per cent from 21 per cent. This will be a six percentage point increase in the reservation category and, if enacted, could bring the overall reservation in Rajasthan from 64 per cent to 70 per cent, according to a report by the Times of India.

The announcement was made during Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's rally in Banswara, Rajasthan, on Wednesday.

Adani Enterprises on Thursday denied the reports stating that it is planning to exit the $6 billion joint venture with Wilmar International. In a regulatory filing, it said that there is no such event as of now.

"We would like to clarify that as of now, there is no such event concerning the media report, which requires any disclosure from the company side per regulation 20 of Sebi listing regulations," the company said.

The National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) on Thursday approved the Zee-Sony merger, according to the news agency Reuters. The NCLT had initially reserved its verdict on the merger between Zee-Sony on July 10.

The Mumbai bench of the NCLT, which comprised of H V Subba Rao and Madhu Sinha, had reserved the judgment after listening to objections from creditors such as Axis Finance, JC Flower Asset Reconstruction Co, IDBI Bank, Imax Corp, and IDBI Trusteeship who raised concerns about the scheme.

Nearly 750,000 beneficiaries of the Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Aarogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) are registered under a single mobile number – 9999999999, The Indian Express reported, citing the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG).

Two policemen and seven civilians were injured putting out a fire that broke out at a factory in west Delhi's Mayapuri area early Wednesday morning, officials said.

According to officials, a call was received at 2.05 am that there was a fire at a two-story sofa factory at the market known for dealing in scrap.
