Shares of PI Industries surged 10 per cent to Rs 3,371 on the BSE in Friday’s intra-day trade in an otherwise subdued market after the company announced twin acquisitions into pharma active pharmaceuticals ingredients (APIs) and the contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) space.

PI Health Sciences (PIHS), a wholly-owned subsidiary of PI Industries (PI), has executed definitive documents with Therachem Research Medilab LLC (TRM) for acquiring its wholly-owned subsidiaries in India (TRM India and Solis Pharma Chem) and assets in the US.

Google in India took enforcement action against 3,500 personal loan apps in 2022, this also included the removal of apps from the Play Store for violation of the Play policy requirements.

Shares of Wipro were up 3.5 per cent to Rs 388 in Friday’s intra-day trade, after the company announced share buyback plan worth Rs 12,000 crore. The firm intends to buy back about 4.91 per cent of its shares at Rs 445 per share through tender route.

Gold price remained unchanged in Friday's early trade with 10 grams of the yellow metal (24-carat) trading at Rs 61,040, according to the GoodReturns website. Silver price fell Rs 300 with 1 kg of the precious metal selling at Rs 76,200.

The price of ten grams of 22-carat was also unchanged at Rs 55,950.

The price of ten grams of 24-carat gold in Mumbai is at par with the price of gold in Kolkata and Hyderabad, at Rs 61,040.

A five-judge bench of the Supreme Court continued with its hearing on pleas seeking legal validation of same-sex marriages.
