The Ministry of Heavy Industries has achieved 79 per cent of its revised target for the number of electric vehicles (EVs) — in two-, three-, and four-wheelers — that it had to support under Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of (Hybrid &) Electric Vehicles in India II (FAME II) as of February 18 (including vehicles under processing for subsidy).

The revised number of vehicles across the three segments was pegged at 1.73 million in the five years of the scheme (previously 1.5 million) which ends on March 31.

Amid a standoff with the farmers, the Haryana government on Wednesday extended the ban on mobile internet and bulk SMS services in seven districts till February 23.

Earlier, the government extended the suspension till February 19.

According to a notification issued by the Haryana administration, bulk SMS and all dongle services provided on mobile networks.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has requested the Bureau of Immigration (BOI) to issue a revised look-out circular (LOC) against Byju Raveendran, the founder and CEO of the troubled edtech firm Byju's, as per a report by Economic Times. The central agency approached BOI earlier this month, seeking to ensure that Raveendran remains within the country.

An LOC 'on intimation' had previously been issued against Raveendran more than a year and a half ago, following a request from the ED's Kochi office.

Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd (ZEEL) on Wednesday refuted the report which said that the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) has found that about Rs 2,000 crore may have been diverted from the company.

He served as the president of the Bar Association of India from 1991 to 2010 and was awarded the Padma Bhushan (1991) and Padma Vibhushan (2007), among India's highest civilian honours, for his contributions to the field of law.

Indian e-commerce giant Flipkart has engaged in discussions in recent weeks regarding a potential acquisition of Dunzo, the hyperlocal delivery startup backed by Reliance Retail. However, complexities surrounding Dunzo's ownership structure have posed challenges in reaching an acquisition deal, according to a report by TechCrunch. The talks are reportedly still ongoing, with both parties still in negotiations.

This potential acquisition comes in the wake of a challenging period for Dunzo, which has faced difficulties in securing funding and meeting staff payroll obligations.

It could take three to six months to migrate all existing Paytm customers to another payments service provider, according to people in the know. The digital payments major, on the other hand, it has been learnt, is looking to apply for a third-party application provider (TPAP) licence from the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI).

A TPAP license will ensure that Paytm users can continue to make digital payments via the Unified Payments Interface (UPI).

India’s market regulator has found a hole of more than $240 million in the accounts of Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd., dealing another blow to the embattled media firm less than a month after its merger with Sony Group Corp’s local unit collapsed.

As part of its investigation into the Zee founders, the Securities and Exchange Board of India, or Sebi, found that about Rs 2,000 crore ($241 million) may have been diverted from the company, said people familiar with the matter who did not want to be identified as the information is not public yet.
