Amazon, the company that started the trend of selling books online, has decided to go offline by selling its inventory in brick and mortar stores. It will be opening its first bookstore called Amazon Books on Tuesday (3rd November 2015) in Seattle’s University Village.
As the company says Amazon Books is a physical extension of Amazon.com. It will apply its 20 years of online book selling experience to integrate the benefits of offline and online book shopping in their store. “The books in our store are selected based on Amazon.com customer ratings, pre-orders, sales, popularity on Goodreads, and our curators’ assessments.
