Keeping KG alive took Rs 4.5k cr for RIL, BP, Niko

Mumbai: Solar power tariff in India touched an all-time low of Rs.4.63 per KWh after a huge number of domestic and multinational companies bid aggressively for the 500 megawatt (MW) of capacity offered under the Jawaharlal Nehru National Solar Mission in Andhra Pradesh on Tuesday.

“SunEdison quoted tariff of Rs.4.63 per KWh,” Tarun Kapoor, joint secretary at India’s ministry of new and renewable Energy, says in mobile-phone text message, reported Bloomberg.

Global WiFi – first mobile virtual network operator, Sabse Technologies has raised funding from Ratan Tata. The financial details of the deal has not yet been disclosed by the company. The company aims to utilise the raised funding to expand its WiFi first cellular service to consumers worldwide.

Founded by Hotmail Co-founder Sabeer Bhatia and Yogesh Patel in 2008, Sabse operates communications cloud platform named Sabsebolo for SMEs. Its cloud communication platform also enable developers to develop voice and text applications. The company offers cloud telephony, video conferencing and desktop sharing platform for small and mid sized enterprises.

South Korean carmaker Hyundai Motor Co confirmed on Wednesday it will launch a new global luxury car brand called Genesis, targeting higher profit margins to help it reverse out of an earnings slide.

Hyundai, which rose to prominence on a reputation for reliable, affordable cars, said the Genesis brand's lineup will start with two sedans this year, growing to six by 2020.
