Bharti Airtel extends fall; down over 5% in two days

Bharti Airtel has dipped nearly 4% to Rs 322, extending its previous day’s 2% decline on the BSE, after the company announced that it plans to invest Rs 60,000 crore over the next three years to expand its network.

This investment of Rs 60, 000 crore is over and above the Rs 1, 60,000 crore Airtel has already invested in its active and passive network, spectrum, fiber, submarine cables and systems till date, Bharti Airtel said in a release.

Yes Bank signs pacts worth $265 mn with US cos for SME lending

Private sector lender Yes Bank today said it has signed loan agreements worth $265 million with OPIC and Wells Fargo to support small business growth in India.

"Yes Bank has signed an agreement with Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC), the US government's Development Finance Institution, for debt financing of $245 million to increase lending to micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in India," Yes Bank said in a regulatory filing.

Hinduja Group flagship firm Ashok Leyland today reported 16% increase in total sales at 8,971 units in November as against 7,732 units in the same month last year.

The sales of medium and heavy commercial vehicles jumped 21% to 6,297 units in November as against 5,204 units in the same month a year ago, the company said in a BSE filing.

The country’s largest car maker Maruti Suzuki has reported an increase of more than 10% in domestic sales during November on the back of higher demand due to Diwali.

Sales for the company that enjoys almost half of the market share in passenger vehicles grew 10.6% to 110,599 units, the company said in a statement. Exports saw a marginal growth of 1% to 10,255 units in the month. For the April-November period of the current financial year, the company’s domestic sales grew 13.9%. At the Bombay Stock Exchange, the company’s stock was trading at Rs 4,565, marginally down from its previous close.

Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) today slashed petrol prices by 58 paise per litre and prices of diesel by 25 paise per litre to align domestic rates with global petroleum product prices.

Post today's revision petrol will be priced at Rs 60.48 per litre while every litre of diesel will cost Rs 46.55 in Delhi.

Ashok Leyland bags order worth $200 million from Cote D’Ivoire

Hinduja Group flagship firm Ashok Leyland has bagged order for 3,600 vehicles worth USD 200 million (about Rs 1,335 crore) from Cote D’Ivoire.

It has signed a contract with the government of the West African nation, also know as the Ivory Coast, for supply of the vehicles which include trucks and buses and will be delivered over the next 12 months, the company said in a statement.
