Tata Motors is closely watching the autonomous-driving technologies being developed globally by the likes of Daimler, Google, Tesla and its own subsidiary, Jaguar Land Rover (JLR). The homegrown automobile major wants to bring driver-assistance functions such as collision avoidance and automated parking to its cars in India.

"There's clearly a movement globally towards more and more autonomy and eventually autonomous cars will come. It's important for us in India to understand the technologies behind that (autonomous driving) and that it will come into our market gradually," said Tim Leverton, head of advanced and product engineering.

ICICI Bank has increased its stake in the debt-laden IVRCL Limited to 11.43% by acquiring a fresh 39.91 million shares amounting to 7.3% of the equity share capital of the company. Prior to the fresh acquisition the bank held 22.57 million equity shares or 5.03% of the total equity capital at that point of time.

The bank has acquired the shares on a cumulative basis under the terms of the Strategic Debt Restructuring(SDR) between June 25, 2015 to April 13, 2016, according to a filing issued to the BSE.

Reliance Industries (RIL) on Monday said the SEZ refinery of the company is planning to shut down one crude distillation unit for routine maintenance and inspection for about 3 weeks from May 1.
