Green card holders don't need waiver to enter US, confirms White House

The White House said on Wednesday it has issued updated guidance on President Donald Trump's executive order on immigration clarifying that legal permanent residents, or green card holders, do not require a waiver to enter the United States.

"They no longer need a waiver because if they are a legal permanent resident they won't need it anymore," White House spokesman Sean Spicer said at a news briefing.

Mumbai: The Indian rupee strengthened further against the US dollar on Wednesday, after finance minister Arun Jaitley announced a fiscal deficit target that was in line with estimates. This is the sixth consecutive session when the rupee is trading higher.

At 12.32pm, the home currency was trading at 67.57, up 0.43% from its previous close of 67.87. The local currency opened at 67.61 a dollar, and touched a high of 67.57, a level last seen on 14 December 2016.
