Microsoft Corp and Adobe Systems Inc are joining to make their respective sales and marketing software products more potent competitors to Salesforce.com Inc and Oracle Corp offerings, the two firms said Monday. On the eve of San Jose, California-based Adobe’s annual user conference, the company said that it will work with Microsoft to create a shared data format between Adobe’s marketing software suite, which the company is re-naming its Experience Cloud, and Microsoft’s sales software, called Dynamics, allowing the software systems to work together seamlessly.

NEW DELHI: Indian oil and gas companies are likely use their improved cash flows from market-linked fuel prices to expand their asset base and enhance operational quality, S&P Global Ratings said today.

They are expected to step up investments in upgrading refineries to meet cleaner fuel standards, improve yields and create flexible refinery configurations in product pipeline and gas infrastructure capacities, it said.

The BJP on Tuesday welcomed the Supreme Court's suggestion of an out-of-court settlement of the Ayodhya dispute, and said aggrieved parties should keep in mind its "sensitivity" while discussing the matter.

State Bank of India (SBI), which will see five associate banks merge into it on April 1, has decided to shut down almost half the offices of these banks, including the head offices of three of them. This process will start from April 24.

"Out of the five head offices of the associate banks, we will retain only two. Three head offices of the associate banks will be unbound along with 27 zonal offices, 81 regional offices and 11 network offices of the associate banks," SBI Managing Director Dinesh Kumar Khara told IANS in an interview.

Facing intense competition from cash-rich Reliance Jio, the Aditya Birla Group and British telecom giant Vodafone Plc on Monday announced the merger of their Indian wireless telephony businesses, creating the largest telecom operator in the country.

Microsoft has admitted that it is blocking Windows 7 and 8 updates on Intel's seventh generation Core i3, i5, Qualcomm's 8996 and other processors to 'force' users upgrade to Windows 10, a media report said.

According to a report in Forbes on Friday, when a user tries to run Windows Update, Windows is unable to search for new updates generating a message "Code 80240037 Windows Update encountered an unknown error".

London: Google, the primary revenue driver for Alphabet Inc., announced changes to its advertising policies after major brands pulled ads from the platform because they appeared alongside offensive content, such as videos promoting terrorism or anti-Semitism.

The government has approved the second tranche of capital infusion in public sector banks to enhance their capital base. In a regulatory filing to the stock exchanges, Dena Bank said it “has received a communication from Government of India vide its letter… dated March 16, 2017 informing inter alia capital allocation of Rs 600 crore as part of turnaround linked infusion plan.” Kolkata-based United Bank of India too said it has received a communication from the central government regarding capital allocation of Rs 418 crore as part of turnaround linked capital infusion plan.
