Farmers' protest: Candle marches to be held at Shambhu, Khanauri borders

Farmer leader Sarwan Singh Pandher on Saturday said that the Kisan Mazdoor Morcha and SKM (non-political) will hold a candle march on both Shambhu and Khanauri borders on Saturday evening, in memory of martyrs.

"This is the 12th day of the morchas at Shambhu and Khanauri. Yesterday, Kisan Mazdoor Morcha and SKM (non-political) decided that a candle march will be held on both borders this evening, in memory of martyrs," he said.

@Paytm UPI handles to be smoothly migrated from Paytm Payments Bank: RBI

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on Friday said Paytm’s Unified Payments Interface (UPI) handle, @paytm, would be smoothly migrated from Paytm Payments Bank to a set of newly identified banks to minimise disruptions after March 15.

The RBI has barred Paytm Payments Bank from accepting fresh credits in its customer accounts or mobile wallets after March 15. It has also ordered termination of nodal accounts of One 97 Communications Ltd (OCL) and Paytm Payments Services Ltd.

The Ministry of Heavy Industries has achieved 79 per cent of its revised target for the number of electric vehicles (EVs) — in two-, three-, and four-wheelers — that it had to support under Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of (Hybrid &) Electric Vehicles in India II (FAME II) as of February 18 (including vehicles under processing for subsidy).

The revised number of vehicles across the three segments was pegged at 1.73 million in the five years of the scheme (previously 1.5 million) which ends on March 31.
