Aimed at expanding its footprint in the urban transportation sector as part of its diversification initiatives, Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has entered into a technology collaboration agreement with Kawasaki Heavy Industries (KHI), Japan, for the manufacture of stainless steel coaches and bogies for metros. The technology collaboration agreement was signed by Amitabh Mathur, director (IS&P), BHEL and Makoto Ogawara, senior vice president, KHI in the presence of Atul Sobti, chairman and managing director, BHEL and Yoshinori Kanehana, President, KHI.

NEW DELHI: Sebi Chairman Ajay Tyagi on Monday said the National Stock Exchange (NSE) will refile Red Herring Prospectus (DRHP) with the market regulator that would comprise a new financial statement, media reports suggested.

Tyagi, told reporters on the sidelines of an event, the prospectus may need to be re-submitted to reflect updated financials.

The market hit a bright spot straightaway today as the Sensex moved beyond 31,000 at the start, extending its weekend gains following the GST kick-off amid mixed Asian cues. The Air Conditioning (AC) system in a New Delhi-bound Air India flight AI-880, an Airbus 320 which took off from West Bengal's Bagdogra malfunctioned on Saturday, leaving passengers gasping for breath.

In a video that has gone viral, the livid passengers can be seen fanning themselves and complaining to the staff onboard about the malfunction, but to no avail.

Federal agents persuaded a judge to issue a warrant for a Microsoft email account they suspected was used for drug trafficking.

But US-based Microsoft kept the emails on a server in Ireland. Microsoft said that meant the emails were beyond the warrant's reach. A federal appeals court agreed.

ITC has moved higher to its new high of Rs 353, up 9% in early morning trade, extending its Friday’s 4% gain on BSE, in the backdrop of implementation of the goods and services tax (GST) from July 1.

Tata Motors-owned Jaguar Land Rover today reduced prices of its entire vehicle range in India on an average by 7 per cent to pass on benefit of reduced tax incidence under GST.
