TCS share price slips in red after briefly hitting 52-week high ahead of Q3 results

Shares of India’s largest IT company Tata Consultancy Services were trading in the negative territory on Thursday ahead of the third quarter earnings of the IT bellwether which will be out in a couple of hours. The stock of Tata Consultancy Services was trading down by 0.6% on both BSE and NSE on Thursday. At the time of writing, the share price of TCS was down 0.62% at Rs 2,789.8 on BSE while the stock was trading 0.56% lower at Rs 2,790.9 on NSE. In the morning trades, TCS shares along with 3 other major IT firms hit a 52-week high.

Hyundai Motor Co said on Thursday it had invested in Singapore-based ride-hailing firm Grab, in the South Korean automaker's first foray into the rapidly growing sector as it tries to diversify following a sales slump in China.

Grab has expanded to eight Southeast Asian countries and has said it is the biggest operator in the region's third-party taxi hailing and private-vehicle hailing sector.

New Delhi: Maruti Suzuki India Ltd, the country’s largest carmaker, on Wednesday raised the prices of its cars by between Rs1,700 and Rs17,000 across its entire product range.

Maruti has followed rivals Hyundai Motor India Ltd and Tata Motors Ltd, which have increased prices to factor in a rise in commodity and other input prices.

Infosys has announced an Advanced Pricing Agreement (APA) with the US Internal Revenue Service (IRS), under which both companies have agreed on a methodology to allocate revenues and compute taxable income of the company’s US operations. The agreement covers a 10-year period from FY11-21. Infosys will reverse tax provisions of $225 million that were made in the previous period and are no longer required.

The Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) late on Wednesday banned Price Waterhouse (PW) from providing audit services to listed companies and market intermediaries for two years in the Satyam fraud case. Two PW partners have been banned for three years.

The regulator also imposed a disgorgement of Rs 130.9 million on Price Waterhouse, and two of its chartered accountants — S Gopalakrishnan and Srinivas Talluri.
