Zomato has quietly begun to roll out a 15-minute food delivery service, stepping up competition in the fast-evolving quick food delivery segment. The new feature, currently available on the Zomato app, positions the company against rivals like Swiggy's Bolt, Magicpin, and Zepto.

V Narayanan has been appointed as the next chairman of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and Secretary of the Department of Space. He is set to take over from the current ISRO chief S Somanath on January 14.
Narayanan, a distinguished scientist at ISRO, currently serves as the Director of the Liquid Propulsion Systems Centre (LPSC) in Valiamala, Kerala. With nearly four decades of experience in the Indian space programme, he has held several significant positions within ISRO and specialises in rocket and spacecraft propulsion.

After prolonged negotiations, Singapore government-owned investment firm Temasek is nearing a deal to acquire a 10 per cent stake in the consumer products firm Haldiram Snacks Foods, valued at $10 billion, from the promoters.
Both the Agrawal family — the promoters of Haldiram Snacks Foods — and Temasek have signed a term sheet for the deal, Moneycontrol reported on Tuesday.

Hours after two cases of Human Metapneumovirus (HMPV) were reported in Bengaluru, one more case was detected in Gujarat on Monday. This takes the tally to three cases in the country. A two-year-old child was reported to be infected from Chandkheda's area of Ahmedabad. The child, from Rajasthan, was admitted to a private hospital in Chandkheda after showing symptoms of cold and cough. The child is stable now, reports quoted civic officials as saying.

Delhi government on Monday directed all the hospitals in the capital to remain fully prepared to manage a potential surge in respiratory illnesses following the detection of two cases of Human Metapneumovirus (HMPV) in Karnataka.
In a directive marked "Most Urgent", Delhi Health Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj instructed the health and family welfare department to closely monitor the situation, and remain in constant touch with the Union health ministry for timely updates.

Power transmission solution provider Sterlite Grid 32 Ltd (SGL32) on Monday announced securing Rs 2,450 crore through listed non-convertible debentures (NCDs) to refinance its Mumbai Urja Marg Ltd project.
The National Bank for Financing Infrastructure and Development (NaBFID) and India Infrastructure Finance Company Limited (IIFCL) have emerged as the successful bidders to the NCDs that have been listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), according to a statement.

The Supreme Court on Monday transferred to Karnataka High Court all cases alleging malpractices by e-commerce giants Amazon and Flipkart. The order came on a plea filed by the Competition Commission of India (CCI), which sought to consolidate all 24 cases pending across various high courts against Amazon and Flipkart.
During the hearing, a bench of Justice Abhay S Oka and Justice Ujjal Bhuyan said if pleadings in some of the transferred petitions were not completed, the judge seized of the matter would grant reasonable time to complete the pleadings.
