NCLAT hope for L&T, firm to argue case on Tuesday for Bhushan Steel dues

Through a Larsen & Toubro (L&T) application, operational creditors to Bhushan Steel have got a window of hope at the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) on their dues to the insolvent company.

The appellate body has agreed to hear the L&T petition on its Rs 9.62 billion of dues from Bhushan Steel. The case will be heard on Tuesday. Bhushan Steel was taken over by Tata Steel last week, after a protracted process under the insolvency law, involving some controversy.

An Air India plane from Goa with 143 passengers onboard made an emergency landing here after a hydraulic failure, a spokesperson fro the airline said.

A full emergency was declared at the airport at 8.36 PM as flight AI 662 made the emergency landing. "It landed safely with 143 passengers onboard," the spokesperson said.

Shares of Ashok Leyland have declined nearly 10% to Rs 133.75, extending their 4% fall on the BSE on Friday, on concerns of truck volume growth in current fiscal on account of a partial overloading ban relaxation in Uttar Pradesh (UP) from last month.
