Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut on Saturday said the seat-sharing talks between his party and the Sharad Pawar-led NCP (SP) have concluded as these two parties are driven by a desire and mindset to resolve issues.

His remark is apparently targeted at the third Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) partner Congress again, a day after he expressed disappointment over the delay in the seat-sharing talks in the alliance and accused the Maharashtra Congress leaders of being incapable of making decisions.

JSW Steel-JFE JV to buy thyssenkrupp Electrical Steel India for Rs 4,051 cr

Sajjan Jindal-led JSW Steel said on Friday that it would acquire 100 per cent stake in thyssenkrupp Electrical Steel India Private Limited (tkES India) jointly with Japan’s JFE Steel Corporation for Rs 4,051 crore.

In an exchange filing, the Indian steelmaker said the board approved the acquisition of 100 per cent equity interest in tkES India jointly with JFE Steel Corporation.

The Reserve Bank of India ordered four shadow banks to stop sanctioning new loans because of high interest rate charges to customers. The entities include DMI Finance, backed by Japanese lender Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group Inc., and Navi Finserv Ltd., backed by Sachin Bansal, co-founder of Walmart-owned e-commerce company Flipkart Private Ltd.

The air pollution situation in Delhi-NCR continued to deteriorate on Friday with the Air Quality Index (AQI) reaching 293, putting it in the 'poor' category. On Thursday, the pollution level in Delhi and Noida was recorded in the 'poor' category for the fourth consecutive day. The overall Air Quality Index (AQI) in Delhi was recorded at 207 at 6:34 am, 213 in Noida and 246 in Ghaziabad. Apart from this, AQI 192 was recorded in Sonipat and AQI 182 in Faridabad, which is considered to be in the moderate category of pollution.
