Charter flights are helping airlines earn cash amid uncertain travel demand and rising fuel costs.

GoAir will be operating an additional 150 charter flights to bring home Indian citizens from West Asia, an airline spokesperson said on Tuesday. Until Monday, GoAir operated 51 charter flights carrying 8951 passengers to India.

Two workers died and four were hospitalised on Tuesday after a gas leak occurred in a factory in Andhra Pradesh's Visakhapatnam. The leakage of benzimidazole gas occurred at the Sainor Life Sciences Pvt Ltd in Visakhapatnam's Parwada area on Monday night.

Abdullah Al Mohsin Chowdhury, the Defence Secretary of Bangladesh, passed away on Monday morning due to the coronavirus disease (COVID-19), the Bangladesh government has confirmed. At the time of his death, Chowdhury was aged 57.

He was undergoing treatment at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Dhaka, where he was admitted on May 29. He was later shifted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) on June 6 and then placed on life support on June 18 as his condition worsened.
