The Trump administration has said it won't pay more than USD 60 million in dues it owes to the World Health Organisation and will use the money instead to pay down other contributions to the United Nations.

With 83,883 fresh coronavirus infections in 24 hours, India's tally mounted to 3,853,406 on Thursday, while the death toll climbed to 67,376 with 1,043 more fatalities, said the Health Ministry.

A Supreme Court Bench headed by Justice Arun Mishra ordered the removal of 48,000 slum dwellings around 140 km of railways tracks in Delhi, according to Live Law. The removal has to be completed within three months. The apex court also directed that no court should grant a stay in the matter.

The order pertains to the M C Mehta case, related to pollution in and around Delhi. The top court has been passing directions in the case from time to time since 1985.
