Bengaluru: Infosys Ltd has invested $4 million to pick up a minority stake in Cloudyn Ltd, an Israeli company that makes software for monitoring and optimizing cloud computing, marking the Bengaluru-headquartered firm’s second investment in an Israel-based cloud-computing start-up from the company’s $500 million innovation fund.

Bengaluru: Infosys Ltd surprised many in April when it set an aggressive revenue growth target and said it could grow by as much as 13.8% in the year ahead. After all, India’s second largest software services exporter has traditionally been a company that prefers to under-promise and over-deliver.

It emerges that the dollar revenue growth outlook outlined by Infosys in April included business from a proposed merger of drug makers Pfizer Inc. and Allergan Plc., even though the deal had been called off days before Infosys’s management set out the target, according to executives familiar with the matter.

Calcutta, July 20: Infosys, the country's second largest software services company, plans to meet Bengal's information technology minister Bratya Basu soon to urge the state government to consider its proposal for a special economic zone (SEZ) status for its Rajarhat venture, a top company official said.

Bengaluru: Infosys Ltd has appointed new heads for its merger and acquisitions (M&A) division and its cloud, infrastructure and security (CIS) arm.

Deepak Padaki will now head M&A for Infosys, replacing Ritika Suri, who has been tasked by chief executive officer Vishal Sikka to head large deals programmes at the company.

The company’s share price was down by over 8% in the early trade on the BSE at around Rs 1083.15.

Bengaluru: Infosys Ltd’s head of cloud, infrastructure and security unit, Samson David has resigned, a setback for chief executive officer Vishal Sikka who earlier this year entrusted David with the additional responsibility of heading artificial intelligence platform Mana.

David will join Hewlett Packard Enterprise Co. as senior vice-president, enterprise services delivery, and will report to Mike Nefkens, executive vice-president of HPE Enterprise Services, said a spokesman for HPE.
