The Amazon.com Inc. founder lost $19.2 billion over the past two trading days -- the most ever in that time, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index -- amid a global market selloff fueled by fears of further trade tensions.

Microsoft Corp regained its spot as the second most valuable US company on Friday after a disappointing quarterly report from Amazon.com wiped $65 billion off the online retailer's market capitalisation.

US online retail giant Amazon has said that it witnessed 6 per cent growth in new customer additions in India, thanks to its festive season sales that kicked off in early October. New Delhi: E-commerce major Amazon India today announced that it is piloting a new delivery service for smartphones in Delhi NCR region. Under the ‘Faster than Same Day’ delivery service available on select best-selling smartphones, Amazon said it will provide delivery within 3-5 hours.

Target Corp, aiming to one-up retail rivals during the upcoming U.S. holiday shopping season, said on Tuesday it was adding more delivery and pickup options for online shoppers to have items shipped to their homes or ready for quick pick-up at local stores. The Minneapolis-based retailer will offer free two-day shipping on hundreds of thousands of items from Nov. 1 to Dec. 22 with no order minimum or membership required. Target had announced the shipping service in March.

Chennai: Of the USD 2.3 billion gross merchandise value (GMV) garnered during the five-day online festive season sales, Flipkart cornered a higher market share of 51 per cent, followed by Amazon at 32 per cent.

Amazon on Tuesday announced a new investment of $10 million in Closed Loop Fund (CLF) to support recycling infrastructure in the US aimed at cutting the amount of waste treated at landfills.
