US e-commerce leader Amazon's subsidiary, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Monday launched the Cloud-based service, AWS RoboMaker, that will help developers to develop, deploy and test robotics applications.

The new service, which uses the widely deployed open source software Robot Operating System (ROS), serves as a platform to help accelerate the time-consuming robotics development process, Xinhua news agency reported.

Amazon.com Inc has selected New York City and Northern Virginia as the company’s second and third headquarters, the Wall Street Journal reported.An announcement could come as soon as Tuesday, the newspaper reported, citing unidentified people familiar with the plan.
