Mahindra & Mahindra today said it has launched a programme, Prerna, to empower women working in the agriculture sector by promoting efficient and ergonomic farm tools and equipment.

"The project will be initially launched in the state of Odisha, with the intention to positively impact the lives of over 1,500 families across 30-plus villages," Mahindra & Mahindra said in a statement.

Automobile major Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd (M&M) on Friday launched a new model of its sports utility vehicle KUV100.

The updated version, 'KUV100 NXT', is packed with 40 new features, the company said.

New Delhi: Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd is in early talks with its partner Ford Motor Co. to procure a vehicle platform on which the Mumbai-based company aims to build an all new electric sedan, two people with direct knowledge of the matter said.

In lieu of this platform, Mahindra will share its affordable electric vehicle technologies with Ford, which the American company plans to use in its entry-level cars such as Figo and Aspire, these people said on condition of anonymity.

Accordingly, the company will now be able to supply 150 eVerito sedans in the first phase of the tender while Tata Motors will supply the remaining 350 electric Tigors.
