After products reach their destination, the pallet or container is returned to CHEP for reconditioning before being sent on its next journey. Overall, CHEP manages a pool of about 300 million pallets and containers from service centers in some 45 countries. Brambles' other main business, Recall, offers records management services.

Licensing is the hub-bub here. Brand Central specializes in finding, building, and managing the licensing potential of its clients trademarked properties for merchandising purposes. It also advises companies that own brands, including The Bombay Company and Linens n Things, that were once part of now-defunct retail chains. Brand Matter is owned by private equity firms Windsong Brands and Hilco Consumer Capital.
