ASICS America Corporation

ASICS America is the North American arm of Japanese athletic footwear, apparel, and accessories maker ASICS Corporation. Its shoe collection -- featuring a trademarked stripe design -- includes footwear for basketball, cheerleading, court and training, running, track and field, volleyball, walking, and wrestling. Its Budokan label represents one of its "sportstyle" products that targets a hip crowd. ASICS products, which were introduced in the US in 1977, are sold at regional and national retailers throughout the country, as well as through online vendors. In October 2009, ASICS opened its first freestanding store in the US.
