A.L.A.S. Organization
The Latin American Security Association (ALAS) was founded in 1997 with a clear purpose in mind: educating, setting standards, and elevating the level of professionalism in the Latin American Security Market. Keenly aware of the fact that these are key issues affecting the future of this market, ALAS started looking for ways to affiliate manufacturers, distributors and dealers, and unite them in a common cause.
The group provides educational services, professional standards for the industry, discount programs, networking and marketing opportunities, and research for the security industry. Corporate sponsors include Access Technology International, Bosch, GE Security, Samsung Electronics, and Schneider Electric. A.L.A.S. has chapters in about 15 countries spanning North America and South America.
