Harcros Chemicals Inc is a major distributor and producer of industrial chemicals. Privately held since a management buy-out in 2001, the Company began business in 1917 as Thompson-Hayward Chemicals, and in 1961 was purchased by North American Philips. In 1981, Harrisons and Crosfield plc purchased the bulk of the business from Philips, subsequently changing the name to Harcros Chemicals Inc.

Haviland Enterprises distributes chemicals such as acids, alcohols, amines, chelating agents, lubricants, solvents, and surfactants. The company also provides contract blending and packaging, research and development, technical service, compliance training, and supply chain management services. It primarily serves customers in the Midwestern US but provides services to all 50 states and overseas as well. Associated companies include Haviland Contoured Plastics, which makes spiral-wound plastic hose, and Haviland Consumer Products, which blends and packages swimming pool chemicals for private-label customers.

A marketer and distributor of chemicals, the company's products include fertilizers, insecticides, additives, pharmaceuticals, animal and human nutrients, and plastics. Founded at the turn of the last century and based in Germany -- with about 60% of its sales coming from Europe -- HELM has operations in more than 30 countries in Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and North America.
