Aldridge Electric powers up the Windy City and other parts of the Midwest. The electrical contractor divides its business into six main areas: airport, industrial, power, drilling, highway, and transit. It works on projects ranging from Chicago's subway system to its airport runways. Additional activities include services for street lighting, traffic signals, high-voltage cabling and splicing, and foundation drilling. Aldridge Electric has worked for clients such as Commonwealth Edison Company and Exelon Corporation. The company is owned by CEO Ken Aldridge, grandson of company founder Leonard "Len" Aldridge, who started the business in the 1930s and incorporated it in 1952.
