American Hardwood Industries (AHI) produces and exports lumber manufactured in some nine sawmills and operates sales offices in the eastern US. American Walnut Company manufactures hardwood lumber, walnut gunstock blanks, and other wood products. The company gets its logs from species that include American black walnut, red oak, white oak, soft maple, hard maple, pecan, ash, and cottonwood from Missouri, Kansas, Iowa, Oklahoma, and Nebraska. Its plant in St. Joseph, Missouri, plant annually produces more than 3 million board ft. of lumber. Subsidiary Dyrnamic Research Technologies produces handgun and rifle ammunition for hunting and law enforcement. Other offerings include export packaging and in-house freight forwarding. The firm traces its roots to 1889. American Walnut Company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in July 2010.

American Wood Moulding manufactures and distributes wood mouldings and other millwork products throughout the world. It offers Focal Point and FYPON brand products, as well as stair parts and boards made by Sure-Wood Forest Products. Wood is supplied by company-owned or leased plantation forests in New Zealand, and American Wood Moulding operates about a dozen manufacturing facilities in the US, Mexico, Brazil, Chile, and New Zealand. American Wood Moulding is wholly owned by the family of president Matt Hagen after they bought out the 50% share in the company previously owned by Tenon Limited (formerly Fletcher Challenge Forests) in late 2006.

Amos-Hill Associates is a hardwood veneer mill. The company buys a wide range of hardwood species logs (cherry, maple, white and red oak, walnut, and birch) from merchants in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Missouri, Pennsylvania, Vermont, West Virginia, and Canada to produce its veneer products. Amos-Hill also works in affiliation with Koppensteiner Veneers, which is controlled by Amos-Hill's co-owner Wolfgang Koppensteiner, to serve the German market. President Richard Wertz co-owns the company he and other investors founded in 1982.

Anthony Forest Products first logged on well before the computer age. The company, which began in 1916, obtains its timber from more than 90,000 acres, maintained according to Sustainable Forestry Initiative policy, in Arkansas, Louisiana, and Texas. Anthony Forest Products then processes the timber into lumber and wood chips at mills located in the same three states. The company operates engineered wood laminating plants in Arkansas and Georgia, and, through a joint venture with Domtar, it produces I-joists under the Power Joist name at a plant in Canada. Anthony's Power Log products are used for log-home construction. Anthony Forest Products is owned by the fourth generation of the Anthony family.
