It is the holding company for Newport Federal Savings Bank, which offers traditional deposit services like savings and checking accounts to both consumers and business owners through branches in Newport, Middletown, Wakefield, and Westerly, Rhode Island. The bank's lending portfolio includes auto and other personal loans and lines of credit, as well as real estate-related home equity, construction, commercial mortgage, and one- to four-family residential loans (the bank's largest segment). The bank's roots date back to 1888.

Northeast Bancorp is the holding company for Northeast Bank, which operates about a dozen branches in western and southern Maine. Founded in 1872, the bank offers standard retail services such as checking and savings accounts, NOW and money market accounts, CDs, and trust services, as well as financial planning and brokerage. Residential mortgages account for about a third of all loans; commercial mortgages and consumer loans each make up about a quarter of all loans. The bank also writes business loans and construction loans. A subsidiary of the bank offers property/casualty insurance coverage. Newly created investment entity FHB Formation plans to acquire a 60% stake in Northeast Bancorp.

Northfield Bancorp is the holding company for Northfield Bank. Its retail offerings include checking, savings, and retirement accounts; CDs; mortgage and home equity loans; life insurance; and credit cards. Its commercial offerings include checking and money market accounts, commercial lending, and business credit cards. Bank subsidiary NSB Realty Trust holds mortgage loans and other investments. Founded in 1887, Northfield Bank operates some 20 branches in New York and New Jersey. Currently controlled by a mutual holding company, Northfield Bancorp is undergoing demutualization.

Norwood Financial Corp. serves individuals and local businesses through about a dozen branches in northeastern Pennsylvania. It offers standard deposit products and services including checking and savings accounts, money market savings accounts, CDs, and IRAs. Residential and commercial mortgages account for about 80% of Wayne Bank's loan portfolio. The bank also runs a trust and wealth management division; subsidiary Norwood Investment provides annuities and mutual funds; Norwood Settlement (70%-owned by the bank) offers title and settlement services. Norwood Financial is buying North Penn Bank; the deal will add five branches in northeastern Pennsylvania.
