HCSB Financial has erased the state lines in the Carolinas. The institution is the holding company for Horry County State Bank, which operates more than a dozen branches that serve Horry and Marion counties in South Carolina, and Columbus and Brunswick counties in North Carolina. Horry County State Bank offers traditional deposit products such as checking and savings accounts, CDs, money market accounts, and IRAs. The bank originates primarily real estate loans (more than half of its loan portfolio), followed by business loans, construction and development loans, consumer loans, and agricultural loans. Idaho Bancorp was formed in 2004 to be the holding company for Idaho Banking Company, which serves residents and businesses of Boise and surrounding areas through four branches and a mortgage and construction loan office. The bank offers standard services such as checking accounts, CDs and savings, IRAs, credit cards, commercial loans, consumer loans, and mortgages. Construction loans and residential loans account for about 25% and 15%, respectively. Other real estate loans account for another 40%.

Jacksonville Bancorp, the holding company for Jacksonville Bank, which has about 10 branches in and around Jacksonville, Florida. The community bank offers standard deposit products, including checking and savings accounts, money market accounts, CDs, and IRAs. Commercial mortgages make up more than half of the bank's loan portfolio; residential mortgages account for most of the rest. Subsidiary Fountain Financial sells insurance and investment products. The company nearly doubled its branch network with its 2010 acquisition of Atlantic BancGroup. Jacksonville Bancorp is unrelated to the Illinois corporation of the same name.

LCNB National Bank, which operates some two dozen branches in southwestern Ohio. The bank offers personal and commercial banking services such as checking and savings accounts, money markets, IRAs, and CDs. Residential mortgages account for nearly half of the company's loan book. Other offerings include commercial mortgages, consumer loans including credit cards, and business loans. Trust services are also provided; subsidiary Dakin Insurance Agency sells commercial and personal property/casualty insurance. In 2007 LCNB acquired Sycamore National Bank, which allowed for financial growth and branch expansion.

MainStreet BankShares, Inc. serves southern Virginia from about five offices. Chartered in 2002, Franklin offers such deposit products as checking and savings accounts, money markets, and CDs. The bank primarily uses funds from deposits to write real estate loans, including commercial and residential mortgages, construction loans, and home equity loans. Franklin Community's market is centered in the rural communities of Virginia's Franklin County.
