The Queen's Medical Center
The Queen's Medical Center was founded in 1859 by Queen Emma and King Kamehameha IV, Hawaiian royalty. With more than 530 beds and a staff of more than 1,200 physicians, the acute care facility is the largest private hospital in Hawaii and operates as a regional referral center. The not-for-profit medical center operates a cancer care and heart health center. Queen's Medical Center also offers specialty services such as behavioral health, diagnostics, orthopedics, physical therapy, women's health, and surgery. It also has community health care and laboratory services operations through an affiliated network of providers called The Queen's Health Systems.
