Licking Memorial Health Systems was founded in 1898 by the Newark Hospital Association. The health care provider operates the 230-bed Licking Memorial Hospital and a multi-specialty physician group called Licking Memorial Health Professionals. Specialty services at the hospital include cancer care, home health, occupational health, rehabilitation, and cardiology. Licking Memorial Hospital administers behavioral health care (including substance abuse treatments) through its Shepard Hill department. The physicians' group operates through about 40 practices with 90 doctors spanning over about a seven-town area.

LifeBridge Health links ailing patients to care and healing. Serving the Baltimore region, the not-for-profit company operates two acute-care hospitals, Sinai Hospital of Baltimore and Northwest Hospital, with specialties including oncology, neurology, pediatrics, and sports medicine. The LifeBridge Health network also provides long-term care at the Levindale Hebrew Geriatric Center and Hospital (nursing, subacute, and adult day care services) and the Courtland Gardens Nursing & Rehabilitation Center (formerly the Jewish Convalescent & Nursing Home). The health system has some 1,200 beds total. Other operations include general physician practices and fitness centers.
