Holdsworth Fabrics Limited Originally founded in 1822 as John Holdsworth & Co., The company has designed and manufactured upholstery used by the mass passenger transportation market for more than 185 years. Its lineup ranges from wool moquettes to flat weave materials, leather, and recycled leather for covering bus, ferry, and train seats, as well as fabrics for wall, ceiling, and windows. For six generations the company was owned by the Holdsworth family. However in 2005 it merged with the textile and property development group, Hanson St. James. Two years later, Holdsworth's sales trading arm and brand name was acquired by textile specialist Camira Group, and renamed Holdsworth Fabrics.
