Penn Engineering & Manufacturing's fasteners help sheet metal fabricators get a grip. The company's largest division, PennEngineering, is a leading specialty fastener manufacturer. Its other subsidiaries include PennEngineering Automotive Fasteners and 3V Fasteners Company. Penn Engineering & Manufacturing sells through independent distributors and has manufacturing facilities in Asia, Europe, and North America. The company was founded in 1942 by K. A. Swanstrom, the former president of Elastic Stop Nut Corporation. In 2005 Penn Engineering & Manufacturing was acquired by a unit of Tinicum Capital Partners.
