SAGE Electrochromics, Inc.

SAGE Electrochromics is wisely repaning the future. SAGE Electrochromics company develops residential and industrial "smart" windows that darken or lighten through the use of low-voltage DC power. Its main focus is on the commercial market and selling architects on using branded SageGlass products in their designs. SAGE's windows can be operated by using a dimmer switch, remote control, or central energy management system to control how much sunlight and solar heat enters the home, office, or car. The adjustable tinting level varies from dark to light. The US Departments of Commerce, Energy, and Defense, as well as the National Science Foundation, support SAGE's development efforts. John Van Dine founded SAGE in 1989.
