Sahara Hotel and Casino
The Sahara was built in 1952 and was the setting for the original Ocean's Eleven film; it is the last remaining "Rat Pack" resort. It is owned by Sam Nazarian, a wealthy real-estate developer from Beverly Hills. The young entrepreneur is known for his hip Los Angeles-area nightclubs, such as Area, Privilege, and Hyde, which have been frequented by the likes of Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan. The Las Vegas mecca is decorated in a Moroccan motif, and is home to the Casbar Theater, as well as Speed, a looped roller coaster that slingshots visitors from the casino's NASCAR Entertainment Center.
