ACS Industries, Inc. is the world leader in engineered knitted wire mesh solutions. Founded in Providence, Rhode Island in 1939, American Copper Sponge, Inc. manufactured just that: knitted copper sponges. In fact, our original knitted wire mesh air and grease filters, first put to market in 1946, were originally products of excess knitting capacity. After experiencing heavy growth in the knitted wire mesh business unit and moving the corporate headquarters to Lincoln, RI in 1959, management changed the company’s name to ACS Industries, Inc. in 1960.

Today, ACS Industries, Inc. leads the industry in knitted wire mesh technologies and is ready take on our customers’ most difficult and important projects. As the world’s largest vertically integrated knitted wire mesh manufacturer, we are able to offer competitive pricing and short lead times.
