North Dakota Mill & Elevator
North Dakota Mill & Elevator rises to the occasion. The mill is a producer of wheat flour used specifically in breads and other baked goods like cookies and crackers. It processes more than 78,000 bushels of wheat a day and ships most of its flour in bulk to wholesalers. It offers semolina flour, as well as specialty products such as wholegrain wheat flour, wheat germ, and corn flour for tortillas. The mill also sells pancake mixes, bread machine mixes, and wholewheat, all-purpose and bread flours under the Dakota Maid brand to consumers through its online store. Owned by the State of North Dakota, it contributes 50% of its profits to the North Dakota State General Fund.
