US Airways Center
US Airways Center sees some high flying sports action nearly every night. US Airways is the corporate sponsor of the arena (formerly America West Arena) that is home court for the NBA's Phoenix Suns and the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury. It also hosts the minor league East Coast Hockey League's Phoenix Roadrunners. It additionally hosts concerts (Green Day, Gwen Stefani), Disney on Ice shows, rodeos, and other touring events. All total, the 19,000-seat venue hosts some 200 events each year. The arena is owned by the city of Phoenix and operated by Suns Legacy Partners, the group that also owns the Suns. The $90 million Center, located in downtown Phoenix, opened in 1992.
