It also provides risk management and production management services. The co-op has some 45,000 members in Ohio, Kentucky, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, and Missouri. All total, it operates more than 40 facilities and handles some 3 million head of livestock. In addition, it maintains a loan portfolio of more than $50 million. United Producers was founded in 1999 through the consolidation of Producers Livestock Association (Ohio/Indiana) and MFA Livestock (Missouri).
