Universal Entertainment Corporation
As an industry leader over the years, we have supplied the Japanese market with machines conducive to stimulating business, and have benefited from high recognition as a global entertainment company through our overseas casino resort business. More recently, we have reminded ourselves that it is our "knowledge" behind the creation of such quality entertainment that represents our roots. Additionally, even in difficult times such as now where we face a stagnant world economy, we have a tangible sense of striving to accomplish our "dreams" for the future. These two sentiments of ours are contained within our new name, "Universal Entertainment Corporation."
Formerly Aruze Corp., Universal Entertainment is a leading manufacturer of gaming machines in Japan. It makes and distributes Pachinko and Pachislot machines, which are extremely popular among Japanese gamblers. Universal Entertainment also has a 20% stake in Wynn Resorts, a casino business with gaming resorts in Macau and Las Vegas. Universal Entertainment Corporation changed its name in 2009 after selling its US-based gaming machine manufacturing business, Aruze Gaming America, to chairman Kazuo Okada.
