Brothers Mike and Dave Weaver are the owners. Weaver Meats was a retail butcher shop, with over 70+ feet of meat and deli cases. It was a full service operation. In the mid 1980's they started making Beef Jerky and Snack Sticks. With their outstanding quality and savory flavor their sales really took off.They had people coming from 3 different counties to purchase their top quality Meat Snacks. People wanted them to ship it out of state to friends and relatives. They also had many requests to sell their Meat Snacks to some local bars and taverns. However, being a retail exempt store they could not sell their products outside of their immediate store in Mentor-On-The-Lake.Therefore, after much thought and sadness(15 years of friends and customers) they sold their retail store in August 1996. Then in February 1997 ground was broken for their new state of the art USDA inspected Meat Snack processing plant in Painesville, Ohio.

Turkey is the main dish at West Liberty Foods, but the company has room for other meats on its plate as well. In addition to slaughtering and processing turkeys, the company also prepares and slices pork, chicken, ham, beef and cheese into value-added meat products (luncheon meat, deli trays) for retail and foodservice customers, including the Subway sandwich shop chain. West Liberty operates four production facilities (three in Iowa and one in Utah). It co-packs branded meats for bigger companies and also offers private-label services. The company's commodity products include deboned turkey, ground turkey, turkey parts, and premixed meat slurries which it supplies to other food processors.

Williams Sausage is a leading regional meat processor that produces sausage, ham, and bacon products for both retail and wholesale customers. Its product lines include several varieties of pork sausage, cured hams, and smoked bacon. The company also markets microwavable pork biscuit sandwiches and smoked pork sausages. Most of its meat products are sold under the Williams brand; it also markets sausage and bacon under the Old South banner. The family-owned company was founded by Harold Williams in 1958.

Wolverine Packing was founded by the late Al Bonahoom who operated exclusively as a lamb and veal processor until the early 1960’s. During this time, the company went through many transitions and eventually evolved into one the leaders in the lamb and veal slaughter business. Wolverine Packing was a pioneer in the development of fresh vacuum-packed lamb and veal, which today is the industry standard.If Mary lost her little lamb anywhere near Detroit, it probably ended up at Wolverine Packing. The company is a leading packing plant that slaughters and processes lamb, along with veal, beef, pork, and poultry. Its offers boxed meat and portion control products, along with such value-added meat products as breaded veal patties. Wolverine Packing serves both food retailers and foodservice customers nationwide, as well as private-label customers. The family-owned meat packing business was started by the late Al Bonahoom.
