Domecq Bodegas

Domecq Bodegas

Domecq Bodegas (formerly Bodegas y Bebidas) is fermenting the Spanish wine market. A subsidiary of Allied Domecq, the company owns "bodegas," or wineries, in all nine of Spain's main wine-producing regions and recently acquired a vineyard in Chile. Bodegas represents 12 wineries in Spain and is involved in every aspect of wine making -- from grape growing to marketing and exporting. Sales of high-quality wines account for most of the company's sales. Bodegas exports its wine to more than 60 countries on five continents. Allied Domecq bought the company in 2001 and renamed it Allied Domecq Bodegas (later changed to Domecq Bodegas). In 2005 parent company Allied was taken over by Pernod Ricard.
